The New Year’s Eve Kaiser Ball at the Imperial Hofburg Palace in Vienna could be a befitting event to mark a special anniversary as well as celebrating the dawning of a new year. 

Imagine meeting your guests at the airport and boarding your private jet to Vienna and then having limousines whisk you off the aristocratic Palais Schwarzenberg or the luxurious Imperial Hotel.  Then after settling in to your suites and rooms, join your guests for a private champagne reception followed by dinner overlooking the glorious St Stephen’s Cathedral, in the heart of Vienna.

The next morning visit to the magnificent Schonbrunn Palace and its interesting Carriage Museum.   Lunch is taken in a traditional coffee house – a truly Viennese institution and a chance to experience the buzz building up in this party city.  There is time to relax this afternoon or to enjoy some spa treatments.  Champagne is served in your rooms whilst you dress for the Ball.

Your horse drawn carriages wait to take you to the Hofburg Palace for the New Year’s Eve Ball of all times.  The evening commences with a drinks reception in the main entrance hall of the Hofburg Palace, where the 'Changing of the Guard' ceremony takes place and the Emperor and Empress of the evening welcome guests.  Proceed up the Grand Staircase, which is adorned with fresh flowers, to the magnificent Ceremonial Hall and your private table for the Gala Banquet. The Ceremonial Hall is the most beautiful stateroom in the Hofburg Palace with glittering chandeliers and rich golden baroque décor.  It is also one of the main ballrooms where different orchestras and bands play throughout the evening enabling you to waltz between courses and into the early hours of the New Year. The adjacent Festival Hall is the largest ballroom in the Palace and this is where the bells of St Stephen's Cathedral ring in the New Year.  Wander through the numerous staterooms, waltz to different orchestras and return to your table for drinks until it suits you to retire to the hotel.

It’s a leisurely start this morning with breakfast served in your rooms.  Then it’s off to the world famous New Year's Day Concert performed by the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra in the Musikverein.  Only a very small number of guests are privileged to be present at this concert, which is broadcasted live across the globe.  Adjourn to lunch at Steirereck, one of Vienna’s most famous and finest restaurants.  Early
