Whether you are an experienced high altitude walker or a beginner, we offer you the chance to summit peaks or climb above 4,000m peaks.It’s a long haul from your desk to the top of the highest peaks in the world, so realistic and careful planning and provision for some flexibility are critical for you to have the best chances of succeeding. This means having contingency days and arrangements as well as acclimatisation and training days.

We focus on iconic mountains. 

The most challenging expedition we offer is the Classic Haute Route and Mont Blanc - Europe’s highest peak.This offers the opportunity to learn or practise your winter mountaineering skills in the summer and as close to home as possible. If you’re looking for a non-technical challenge, then Everest Base Camp and Kala Pattar in the Himalayas is a long walk that takes you above the 4,000m and on to the world’s highest mountain.Kilimanjaro and Chimborazo both lie on the Equator. Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa and Chimborazo is the highest mountain from the centre of the earth.

Whether it’s a technical trek or not, your safety comes first and climbing above 4,000m requires careful management and supervision.We believe that it is essential to have a British IFMGA expedition leader who is experienced in overseeing safety levels, providing clear instructions, setting an appropriate pace and ensuring everyone is acclimatised at key altitude levels, as well as monitoring individuals’ performance and health.We operate to and above the minimum guide:walker ratios, which means on technical stretches they will be occasionally 1 guide to 2 walkers.Where appropriate, instructions on roping up, using an ice-axe and crampons and crevasse rescue will be given and practised.

We have years of experience in organising mountain expeditions – in fact we’ve been doing it since 1994. However remote the destination and challenging the environment, you can relax knowing that everything will be organised for you, that you will be well cared for and that there is full professional back-up support, with a team on the ground and back at our head office. Everything is included in the expedition price and no compromises are made.

Experience, provisos & pre-requisites.

Participants must be in good health and very fit as well as having a positive attitude and team spirit.You should have the physical stamina to do 6 hours hill walking carrying an 8kg pack without any difficulty.  Previous experience of high altitude trekking and winter mountaineering skills are not essential but would be beneficial.All expeditions are subject to the weather and safety conditions on the mountains and so it may be necessary to use alternative routes. You will be working as a team and therefore adhering to the decisions and instructions of the expedition leader is essential, not only for your own safety but for the safety of the other members in the team.Approved mountain search and rescue insurance is a pre-requisite for participation on our expeditions.
